The boss was originally designed to deflect blows from the center of round shields, Ideal for the re-enactor crafting his own shield, our 14 gauge steel bosses are spun and then polished to remove the spinning marks before being pre-drilled with 1/4″ holes for attachment to the shield. This 6″ diameter version has a hemispherical cup. Cas Hanwei also offers a wide selection of weapons, armor and clothing from GDFB for the re-enactor.
